Woodfired bottle, altered and slightly flattened while still on the potters wheel. This piece was fired on the floor of the kiln close to the firebox. The proximity to the burning wood resulted in a heavy deposit of natural ash glaze.The pot was fired on it's side on three large seashells leaving permanent marks on what was the underside of the piece. The heavy natural glazing has resulted in drips of melted wood ash glass clinging to the front of the piece and a heavy gray, crystal laden deposit on the back.
