Wood fired cup with thin Tenmoku glazed exterior and shino interior. This glaze tends to be brown to black when fired in a conventional gas or electric kiln, however, in the wood kiln the glaze is " diluted" with melting wood ash which has a tendancy to bleach the glaze creating a wider range of colors. Green, grey and yellow in the case of this particular cup.
